We had a great stay at Donghu. The hotel had a lot of charm, everything was clean. We had fresh water, tea and coffe everyday. We booked the business room which was spacious enough for us to stay 5 nights. The location is close to a lot of cute shops and restaurants. The metro is about a 15 min walk. I recommend to prepare some phrases in Chinese, as most of the staff doesn’t speak English. However we never had any issues, as they were very helpful.

The location of this hotel is perfect, in the center of town, next to the French concession and very well served by subway stations. The hotel has a classic look, but all facilities are in excellent modern conditions. The rooms are vary spacious with all that is needed.

We honestly thought this was going to be an "old" hotel (Which i mean, it is!) But this hotel is super luxurious with this 1930s gangster vibe, especially in the entry! Was the best stay in our entire month in China! Bed and pillows were amazing- in fact, the entire room was incredible.

The location is amazing, you’re on the center but it’s very calm and silent which is great. The building is also very beautiful and the staff is very nice and helpful. The room is big and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom was big as well and the hair dryer was very good.

The location is unbeatable, and the room is exceptionally clean with a beautifully authentic “Shanghai” charm. Opening the bedside table releases a delightful camphor wood fragrance, adding a timeless, elegant touch. I absolutely loved it here. Highly recommended!

Great location for a tourist. The hotel also had great charm and character, with all the modern finishes whilst still feeling steeped in history. The staff were lovely too and room was very comfortable.

This hotel has the amazing old charm of the french concession combined with all the modern day amenities. The staff is very accommodating and rooms are lovely

Location is excellent. Close to Huaihai Road shopping and the restaurant district of Changle, Xinle, Fumin and Julu Roads.
